Additionally it would be very useful to add the Parameter threadPoolSize too.
So it is easily possible to test the method under the situation of
multiple callings from different threads.

I don't know about the thread pool, but it would be pretty cool to be able to specify which number or range in the parameters to run this test, but is that the JUnit way? In general I end up handling these kinds of things with nested classes as tests.

I think a Rule would be the best way to implement this. You can write it yourself until we get around to an implementation in the core library.

although it is possible to solve it otherwise - it would be great to extend junit to make it easier for all to do like i suggested..

These features should be achievable by Rules, so I'm not going to add a second way to do it.
