view() does not work with uint8 RGB images about imageview.jl

You want to say

X = zeros(100,100,3)
view(colorim(uint8(X)))

You can use reinterpret if you don't want them stored as RGB types (see the README). The advantage is that Color has a very rich set of functions for working with colors. It's also a pain in the neck for many algorithms to have a 3d array that represents 2d data.

You can subtract RGB values, for example. If you find arithmetic operations that you're missing, let me know.

@timholy, the new Images.jl API looks great, thank you. Are there any performance penalties in using RGB entries instead of usual numerical matrices?

Shouldn't be, and indeed in some cases they can be faster (among other things, they reduce the amount of bounds-checking). But overall it should basically be the same. If you find otherwise, let me know 😄.
