Calling display() in a script - image window closes right away about imageview.jl

It's because Julia finishes running and shuts down. You could add

c = Condition()
if !isinteractive()
    wait(c)
end

to the end of your script. Even better would be to add a call to notify(c) if the window gets closed.

This is what I ended up with

if (!isinteractive())
    c = Condition()
    # Get the toplevel window
    win = ImageView.toplevel(imgc)
    # Notify the Condition object when the window closes
    bind(win, "<Destroy>", e->notify(c))
    # Wait for the notification ... 
    wait(c)
end

PS: You need to add using Tk on top for the bind function
