Are you using Bundler? Initializers are not needed when Rails 3 and Bundler are used together.

I use the jdbc initializer (
require "arjdbc"
inconfig/initializers/jdbc.rb
). After upgrading to Rails 3.1 and using activerecord-jdbc-adapter from master (21e7049), it no longer works:RuntimeError: Please install the sqlite3 adapter:
gem install activerecord-sqlite3-adapter
(sqlite3 is not part of the bundle. Add it to Gemfile.)The problem is that the initializer is executed too late (when activerecord is already loading database stuff).
It can be fixed by requiring arjdbc early in
config/environment.rb

Yes I am, this is the configuration:
platforms :jruby do
gem 'activerecord-jdbcsqlite3-adapter', :require => false,
:git => 'https://github.com/nicksieger/activerecord-jdbc-adapter.git'
end
from activerecord-jdbc-adapter.
Try removing the jdbc.rb initializer; it shouldn't be needed.

Yes, seems to work now, thanks.
