I don't know if this is the cause of the issue you are having but, FWIW, I was seeing this error when I trying Test Configuration before Save vault & note configuration
From what I've observed, Test Configuration uses a saved or default configuration, so the configuration values you've entered on the form will not be used unless you save and then test. How about using the config values from the form when clicking Test Configuration?

I tried it, and it had no effect.

I had the same issue and the reason was that I tested the configuration but did not save it.

In the next update I'll have it save the config before running the test! :)
It doesn't seem like it should solve this issue though... not really sure what's going on here..

I have a request in the thread under the name "Inconsistent." What may be happening is you have your file in the iCloud folder, so you cannot address it directly since it is behind a hidden file. If it is in your regular documents folder, it should find it immediately. If you have it in the regular documents folder and it is in a subfolder of that, you need to create a path to it in this manner.
/Users/[username]/Documents/[subfolder]/MySecondBrain
If, however, "MySecondBrain" is the folder in Documents, make the folder name "/Users/[username]/Documents/MySecondBrain" and save the setting then perform a test. You may get the error again. Then remove the directory structure and save the setting as you had it before with just the "MySecondBrain" folder name and see if the new test works after you save the settings another time. This has worked for me on both MacOS and Windows 11 implementations of Obsidian Clipper when I was testing all this on OneDrive.

Looking at the screenshots it might error out on the fact that the note it's clipping to is actually a folder... Not sure if that is something that might matter.
I've just released 0.5.0 (not pushed to the Chrome Web Store yet). Could you test is with that version?

Just tried it! Didn't work either. Just getting the same error. I think what jimpfaff mentioned might be the issue. My Folder is in iCloud so i can sync it accross my devices, so it probably can't find the folder

same error, but I think it's in my vault name Vault #42
How can I shield it, I tried quotation marks to close it, but it doesn't work
