It seems to have something to do with scrolling, when I'm at the top of the document everything seems fine but when I scroll down the particle effect appears a few lines above where I'm typing.

+1. At the top of the document they are fine, but as I scroll down, they are getting more and more above the cursor, and finally disappears off the top edge of the window.

+1. For me the top-offset works fine, but particles appear behind (to the left from) the cursor when using hard tabs. When writing on a non-indented line or using soft tabs particles appear in the correct place.
