Currently the container's log is the only way. The automatic disc ripper is using the CLI version of MakeMKV and custom script to automatically rip the discs. The GUI version doesn't have any feature that allows to perform this.

However, maybe It could be useful to show a pop-up window in the GUI while the automatic disc ripper is working. This window could show the progress while informing the user to not attempt to rip the disc through the GUI at the same time...

With version 1.19.0, the progress of a disc ripped by the automatic disc ripper can be seen in the UI.
