Besides, option is standard for this on Mac, so even if it were technically possible, we'd have to make it platform-specific I suppose.

This seems to come frequently, so maybe we need to document this better.

Try alt (or option on Mac) instead of ctrl for left/right arrow, and ctrl-w for deleting the previous word. There's no binding for deleting the next word, sorry.

You may also like ctrl-u to delete from the cursor position to the start of the line, and ctrl-k to delete to the end of the line.

Oh. That is still pretty decent. Although it makes me wonder, is there a particular reason it is bound to alt instead of ctrl?
(I'll learn it over time anyway, just curious. Also, feel free to close the request I suppose :) )
