Hi 👋

I am an engineer with interests in machine learning/AI, optimization, large-scale software design and implementation. I studied Engineering in school and my research focused on developing efficient algorithms and workflows for large-scale problems with application focused in the oil and gas industry.

These days I primarily program in Python and Common Lisp but in the past I have used other programming languages like Matlab and C/C++.

  • I designed and implemented a large-scale integrated scientific application (~260 KLOC in Common Lisp) and consists of several modules including machine learning, optimization, and a physics simulation modules. The application is implemented using a monolithic repository (monorepo) model. The repository is not hosted publicly but I can show other summaries and visualizations of the repository. For example, here is a Gource visualization of the repository (last update 05/27/2022). Also, here is a Python notebook showing one of the applications of the tool for performing remote physics simulations (also called reservoir simulation in oil and gas industry). The tool was used to generate the results described at this blog . Finally, we will share the results of the project at a software engineering conference.

I'm best reached via email.
