@draconigae So I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what the issue is here. You say that the derivative grids have the same coordinate system but then that the metadata has changed. Are you saying that the coordinate system has changed but that other grid characteristics (e.g. the number of rows and columns) has stayed the same? I'm just trying to clarify.

I believe that the recently committed updates to the GeoTIFF reader/writer will correct this issue. If a TIFF is used as the input to a tool and a TIFF is also specified as the output, WhiteboxTools now simply copies the georef tags from input to output rasters.
