Setting up my dev. environment and for future reference on other projects. This is a quick set-up to show what setting needs to be changed and why.
Download JetBrain Official Clion
- Look at the newest Ja-netfilter activator . Check telegram group
- There is a jetbra .zip at the top of the page, click download.
- I used ffff.ga from the telegram group
- extract it to the bin directory of IDEA, and after extracting it, ja-netfilter.jar should be in the same directory as idea64.exe.
- The tool chain can be set up using different:
- Generator : Used to create configuration files for a build system
- Borland
- MSYS
- MinGW
- NMake
- Unix (gmake)
- Watcom
- Ninja
- Visual Studio
- Build system: Used to generally compile and link source code
- Meson
- Ninja
- Make
- Compiler:
- MSVC (visual C)
- GCC
- LLVM
- Debugger
- GDB
- LLDB
- Generator : Used to create configuration files for a build system
LLVM is newer developed by Apple and reports errors better

Debug could be added as an option:
- the "-D" flag is used followed by the variable name
Add the following to the markdown file to get the output in the correct destinations.
set(CMAKE_RUNTIME_OUTPUT_DIRECTORY "${CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR}/bin")
set(CMAKE_LIBRARY_OUTPUT_DIRECTORY "${CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR}/lib")
set(CMAKE_ARCHIVE_OUTPUT_DIRECTORY "${CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR}/bin")
- config file needs to added and built before being use:
configure_file(headerconfig.h.in headerconfig.h)

CTest will test the viability of accessing reading and filtering the library. Currently I have one test to show that information is getting passed into the test executable and seeing what it returns.
