There's a bug with the connection wait functionality in the latest version. It should wait for either successful connection or connection failure -- but doesn't do the latter. Will fix that one as soon as possible. It also should throw a ConnectFailedException at that point (it doesn't make sense to do so if wait=False was specified, but should for wait=True) - again, will fix that one shortly.
However, I can't reproduce the second issue - I don't get the TypeError with wait=False - even if I put a sleep between the connect and subscribe calls. Any more info on that one...?

The type error is an API mismatch (I'm using someone's existing code that was written for 3.x if not 2.x, and I didn't catch everything yet)
