You can also scan into a pgtype.Time
.
I've added support to scan a binary time without time zone
into a string in 48cdd7b. This logic is already in place for types like integer
. It's not ideal as it requires parsing the binary and then encoding it into text, but I suppose it is more convenient. However, this may not give you exactly the same representation as directly selecting the value in the text format. That is, you may get 08:00:00.000000
instead of 08:00:00
.

Thanks so much for this fix! This saved so much time in the upgrade from v3 to v5. I confirmed that time as strings come back with .000000
. I can format this on my end.
