I guess your code doesn't compile. Try this:

SimpleTableDataAdapter adapter = new SimpleTableDataAdapter(getContext(), spaceProbes);
adapter.setTextSize(10);
tableView.setDataAdapter(adapter);

To put the TableView inside a horizontal scroll view have a look at issue #14.
