I made this application with Ruby version 2.0.0-p643 and rails version 4.0. I did so using RubyMine IDE and with a Sqlite3 Database. I also utilized the auctions_helper.rb helper file in order to create a method that helped me to do the necessary calculations for each auction. It is worth noting that I disabled turbolinks and also commented that gem out in my Gemfile. After migrating the database the application should run without a problem. I tried to create this application using as many DRY (Do not Repeat Yourself) concepts I am aware of. I am sure that there are even DRYer ways to do this, and if given the opportunity to code with Rails I look forward to be a student of the language on a daily basis! I also am aware that the header values could change and I am sure I could figure out a way to ignore the first header row with established column names for each field and import the data similarly to a Hash and into the database!
