Hi, the wordpress rest api has an optional parameter to set the amount of posts you want to retrieve. Default value is 10. You can read more in: https://developer.wordpress.org/rest-api/reference/posts/#list-posts
To change this value to 50 (to put an example) go to the wordpress service and go into the getRecentPosts function and add the per_page param like this:

return this.http.get(
    environment.wordpress_rest_api_url
    + 'posts?_embed&orderby=modified&per_page=50&page=' + page 
    + category_url)
  .map(res => res);
