Something I've been wondering about, is it possible to create a fake/virtual monitor with the SR-IOV feature ?

I'm not related to this project, but what is "fake/virtual monitor"? Are you referring to some specific device file, kernel feature or what?

It would be most likely, if possible, a kernel module option inside this module yes. Currently, from my understanding, it is not possible to use "looking glass" without having a display on the virtual function or the Intel GPU itself if I tried it. Hence why I was wondering if it was possible to create a fake/virtual video output on the VFs themselves as they are virtualized so that we can use looking glass on it.
Looking glass is capturing basically the video output and transfers it to the host, but this can't happen without a display in the first place.

Its been months now that I didnt try such thing so I dont remember more exact technical details but I think this may be solve my problem https://github.com/roshkins/IddSampleDriver
