Indeed a screencast would be very valuable to demonstrate the feature. Gallica's tool for cropping and sharing of regions of interest is compelling since it is well integrated into the platform's viewer.

Other few ideas that could fall under this "cite and share" category... such as bookmarking an entire Mirador workspace:
