Eventhough SPM/Xcode claims to figure out the best way, we ended up having some linking issues in the past when not specifying it, we had some issues when using the package from multiple places.

We would have to validate if that maybe has resolved itself by now in case case of this package (but still recently ran into similar problems with another package).

Do you experience any concrete issues due to it being explicitly dynamic?

You can just create 2 libraries in Package.swift: one static and one dynamic, referring the same targets
