Reproduced the issue on Chrome for Android. I'm not sure I want to go as far as to add a service worker just to display non-persistent notifications (which seems to be the only viable alternative for Chrome for Android), so for now I simply wrapped "new Notification()" in a try/catch block to avoid spamming the log with these exceptions.
