I've read those issues before, this issue is not caused by your code update, I add multi_gpu_train from keras to your training code, and the problem happened deep inside the keras' code.
Now the training and predicting work successfully, I'm closing this issue.
BWT, is it on purpose to call model.save() twice at the end of advanced_east.py or it should be model.save_weights in last line? :P

You can fix this by adjusting pixel threshold and side threshold.
