Which version of HA are you running?
Do you know how to debug safari and see what's printed as the javascript
error console?

I have the same issue with Iphone 4 and HA 0.25.1.
The error:
80217aa2c78dfc5848134f.js:1:3175ReferenceError: Can't find variable: Promise
It seems like whatever implements Promise for Safari iOS 7 doesn't get loaded.

Ah yes, iOS 7 doesn't support promises. Since only 0.23% 1 of the world
is using iOS 7, I don't plan on addressing this issue.

Tried to fix it. Seems to work for my old iPhone 4.

@balloob sorry for replying to an old issue, but to me it seems very useful to use old phones and tablets as remotes for HomeAssistant. Many people have some laying around, but they are also very cheap. They could be wall-mounted too.
Any chance you'd recosider adding support?
Or is there any other way to control HASS from an outdated browser (like Safari on IOS 7)?

Unfortunately, the tooling we use doesn't support browsers that old. We can support iOS 9 and up, but not everything may work as it is supposed to on browsers that old.
https://github.com/webcomponents/polyfills/tree/master/packages/webcomponentsjs#browser-support
This means we support all iPads, except the first one, and iPhones from the iPhone 4S and up. That is support for devices released in 2011, 10 years ago!
