Hey there @emontnemery, @jbouwh, @bdraco, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (mqtt) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

We only support the official Mosquitto MQTT broker Add on. Please use the Home Assistant Community to get community support.

Yes, but it is the broker service you configure, that is not supported. I suggest you install the official Mosquitto Add-on that is standard available on Home Assistant OS

I'm having the same issue with flespi actually. Using a local Mosquitto is not an option for me as i need to collect/serve from different locacations to/from my MQTT data.

Also have no clue how to fix.

Best regards

Christian

I don't think HA will help us out as it is unsupported :-(

@jbouwh
Thx, but I don't have HA OS running, but HA in docker. So the mosquitto add-on is not available to me. Do you know how to setup mosquitto without HA OS?

jbouwh avatar jbouwh commented on July 26, 2024

You can run Mosquito as a docker container, but running Home Assistant OS is highly recommended.

@Verguldebarman I'll close this ticket as this seems not an issue with Home Assistant or MQTT.
