Pi-Hole config flow didn't give API key option on password protected instance. about core

Ok, seems it was a Web UI problem. Because I did install it manually, I need to update it manually 🤦 After executing git pull under the UI directory and update it to the latest version it works fine and API key was asked. Also integration can control Pi-hole. Many thanks for support!

please

• remove the PIhole integration
• enable debug logging by adding the following to your configuration.yaml:

  logger:
    default: info
    logs:
      homeassistant.components.pi_hole: debug
      hole: debug

• restart HA
• add the PIhole integration
• provide the home-assistant.log

Note: it is better to drag the log into the comment (which will add it as an attachment) and not copy paste as it is hard to read logs in GitHub.

Just to be sure - you've a valid api key set up on your pi-hole?

On pihole I do have API key, but integration never asked about it.

Is it possible that it do not have Version of Pihole and failing on API key request? There is another tiket pi-hole/pi-hole/issues/5668

i've tested it on my env with a "Pi-hole v5.18.2 FTL v5.25.2 Web Interface v5.21" and it works without any issues - request for api key is there and integration set up properly.
