Sure, I did that. Now we wait for someone to ring the doorbell haha. I'll let you know!

Hey there @cgtobi, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (netatmo) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

The webhook events are not related to the polling frequency, so there would be no benefit in increasing the frequency.

dhoeben avatar dhoeben commented on July 2, 2024

For my understanding, why is there a delay of 10-30 seconds between the actual event and the netatmo_event?

from core.

cgtobi avatar cgtobi commented on July 2, 2024

I don't know, I don't recall seeing that much of a delay with webhook events. I can take a look when I'm back home.

@cgtobi thank you for that!

Not sure how I can help, I'm suffering the same, rather delayed reaction time. Doorbell Events are handled in HA about 60 seconds later.

Can help digging up certain logs or test things if that helps.

@zerolith same for me! If you need anything let me know!

When I listen to netatmo_event on https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/developer_events/ the event is fired/registered about the same time as the notification in the Netatmo app is triggered, maybe even a second earlier. I know that fact is not helping but please do manually listen to those events as described and let me know your findings.

dhoeben avatar dhoeben commented on July 2, 2024

For me the netatmo_event comes in at the same (delayed) time as for the rest of home assistant. So about 15-45 seconds. The app triggers (way) earlier.

Can you please try to unregister and reregister the netatmo webhook (using the netatmo service) and try again?

dhoeben avatar dhoeben commented on July 2, 2024

Still delay unfortunately. Does it maybe have something to do with using Docker and some network port setting? Using Nabu Casa.

Hi

I got little improvement going on after resetting the Doorbell. So, still an about 20 seconds delay between the Netatmo App notification and the Event in HA. But far better than about 60 seconds.
