I suspect that your problems are related to this issue #116975
The way to check this is to run HA with custom integrations disabled. If the problem does not occur with custom integrations disabled, you can use the diagnostic methods described here https://community.home-assistant.io/t/2024-5-tracking-down-instability-issues-caused-by-integrations/724441

I'm having a similar issue with my Shelly devices randomly stopping with the message "Failed setup, will retry". In my case it's the first time I've had this, but I've only been using the devices for a month or two.

Ditto, my 5 shelly devices show the exact same thing, they seem to cycle through a reload but end up exactly as mentioned above.

Same issue - use to operate without any problem and 100% stable. I have a single Shelly 3EM device - running 2 x HA - and they will randomly disconnect / "Failed setup - will retry" - without success.

I have been having the same issue for the past couple of weeks with a Shelly 2.5. Today for the first time my second shelly 2.5 has started playing up. I have been using shelly devices for about 4years now with no issues.
At the moment I only have 4 installed but at my last house we ran 7 without any problems at all.

I am quite sure it happened in 2024.4, 2024.3, 2024.2 and probably even further back.

Homeassistant releases from 2023.12 and previously were not affected by this behavior. After upgrading to 2024.5.3 (and previously to 2024.4) the problem started occuring at my instance as well.

Actually a lot other stuff is disconnecting as well. Tasmotas, ESPhome, Aqara, Awair. Even Komfovent, which is modbus over tcp. I will try to roll back to 2024.4 tonight and see if it fix it.

Switched back to homeassistant/home-assistant:2024.4 and now everything is stable again.

I had the same issue today for the first time that I have noticed, it started with one device, I tried a few things including firmware update, core update, each time I would have to reboot Home Assistant. I started noticing more items reconnecting and having trouble, it just happened to be That the items failing to connect were in the same area ie; all the Shelly used for reticulation, about nine of them plus the one original Shelly which is the front gate failing to connect and all are gen 2 plus, nothing I tried was working, I did notice however the longer I left it the less items there were in the list of items trying to reconnect until the point where all had finally reconnected and haven’t done it again, so I think trying to solve the problem by doing reboots and other things just prolongs the issues and possibly adds more to the list, if you just leave it and come back and check the Shelly integration in an hour or two things have settled down and back to normal again, it may be a thing though that we go through it all again if a reboot is done just a thought.
