XHP preprocessor produces syntax errors about xhp-lib

Damn this is stumping me. If I take out that first line it parses fine, but I can't see it getting into any different state with it there. I'll keep digging.

A similar issue occurs when the ternary is replaced by a simple XHP class:

After xhpize:
