Ehh, don't know what to tell you -- works fine for me. Are you sure xhp.so is being included when you make test? If you're doing your own test you need include the runtime libraries from php-lib; which defines xhp_span (via class :span).

No, no. I was just trying the example:

echo Hello, {$_POST['name']};

with xhp.so I get:

Fatal error: Class 'xhp_span' not found in ...

without it I get:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in ....

so there seems to be a difference. But it's not enough for the basic examples to work.

Actually figured it out. I didn't include init.php, I just followed what's in INSTALL when I decided to try it out.
