Looking into this I'm not sure how easy this one is to fix given that we either need to manually parse the config, or spin up the app to get at the configuration (another can of worms). Might not be doable in a sensible way.

yeah, that's why it's initially hardcoded. grepping seems like a bad solution here.

As a workaround they can add a manifest file to where we expect it to be. We really need a way to pass flags into the buildpack like "don't run asset compile".
