Could you give us a little more information? What do you mean by interacting with the dalmatian? Does this mean opening the dialogue box by pressing shift, or does that count as interacting with the dialogue box? Also, what is the behavior of the floating? can the player move through objects like the desk?

I tried this myself, and it seems when you stand on the desk and press the shift key and open the dialogue box with the dalmation, then close it, the characters seem to "twitch" up and down rapidly just a little bit. You can't move through the desk.

Windows 7 64bit as well

Also, selecting "no" in the dalmatian dialogue after the closet has been opened still moves the statue .
