acd's Issues

Quote attribution alignment

This was never addressed on the original build of the site, hoping we can do a few small alignment tweaks with the quote attributions! I know this is quite detailed, lmk if it's too fussy.

  1. Multiple lines would left align with the first line, leaving the em dash "hanging"
  2. Right indent would align with the narrower paragraph above

'Documents' thumbnail styling

Not a functionality issue, but flagging a few styling differences:

  1. On test site, document thumbnails are cropped to square size, while on production site they are full height and variable width based on original document size.
  2. On test site, document thumbnails appear very low res.
  3. On test site, gray background ends at the top of featured-documents, while on production site it extends up to the top of documents-container

Attribution block - Eliminate automatic italics for attribution title

Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like attribution titles are automatically italicized (which actually means non-italicized in this context lol). Unfortunately this won't work, since it's likely that we'll be adding attributions that are not from a book. This is a high priority—we'll have to italicize book titles manually as needed, so that the block can accommodate a wider range of media.

Block quote font style and size

On test site, block quote styling is slightly different:

  • Uses "false italics" ('SelfModern' with a slant applied by the browser) rather than pulling the italic font ('SelfModern-Italic')
  • 21px instead of 19px

Footnote link styling

Font size gets larger when it is turned into a link, ideally it would remain the same size as the rest of the footnote text.

Interactive Feature nav item

Two small things:

  1. 'Interactive Feature' should either NOT be a link (as in production site) or clicking it could go to interactive feature
  2. List item should NOT be numbered

Quote block 'Add citation' prompt

This is a low priority, but wondering if it's possible to eliminate the 'Add citation' prompt that pops up when you add a quote block? My understanding is that we're not using this citation style at all, is that correct?

Multi-page document numbering

On test site, numbers for multi-page documents are above and to the left of the image, while on production site, numbers are centered below image.

Deleting footnotes

Adding footnotes works perfectly! But when I delete it, the text is deleted within the visual block editor, but the markup remains, and an empty footnote remains on the site. Easy to fix by editing HTML, but ideally that wouldn't be necessary for ease of editing?
