Well dead or not I just submitted a PR so that you can use your own Google OAuth client secrets.

  1. Go to https://console.developers.google.com and create a project if you do not already have one
  2. Enable Google Drive APIs
  3. Go to credentials and click create credentials>help me choose. Select the Google Drive API, Other UI (e.g. Windows, CLI tool), and User data options

Use those credentials in the new config field from the PR

Did all that but I am stuck at this step:

Use those credentials in the new config field from the PR

I modified the client id= in the URL generated by GCSF, replaced it by the one I generated using the steps above.
Finally, gcsf says "Saved credentials to "/home/gerd/.config/gcsf/MySession" but that file is not created :(

Look for file called ~/.config/gcsf/gcsf.toml and search for client_secrect=... at the end for file.
