Old packages versions

Is there a particular reason to keep these old versions ?
api.use(["[email protected]", "[email protected]"], "client");

If element is in a non-template scope, but still within a template no template is passed to the events.

If the view does not have a _templateInstance the handler is passed undefined

Not all views have a _templateInstance. So it is legitimate to walk up the view tree looking for the enclosing _templateInstance.

Just need to walk up the view tree here.

Thanks for the Package. It would be very helpful if you can provide some sample code on how to get the data out of Jquery event or Blaze data context.

Why not use $.trim() instead of _.trim()?

Saves adding the underscore string library. Especially since you're already using jQuery, which has the same functionality. I'd do a PR, but it's literally just changing _ to $. (And removing the dependency on underscore string in package.js).
