Hi @mszalbach,

I ran into the same issue previously. I think the issue is that you're extending the abstract Widget class. You should instead inherit from the ControlWidget class. This propagates the valueChanges and errorsChanges on up the line.

My rule is that if its a 'dumb' component (like a fieldset or a wizard, etc) then I inherit from Widget. If it needs to do validation I usually inherit from ControlWidget. TBH a lot of the time all you'll want to do is style changes and you should inherit from the default component that matches the JSONSchema type you want it to build for. Then you just add the template and styling and use all the exposed properties that were in the parent class.
