String or characters? about commandline

I imagine it was to allow nulls (although there's always the option of char?) and to simplify concatenation along the way. I'm surprised the exception isn't more explicit, since it's only checking the length.

Looks like there's an open pull request #11 to fix this.

Yes nemec, you're right: it was a string for handle nulls. In first releases of the project .NET/C# lacked nullable types and this part wasn't updated to comply.

I was very busy, sorry for replying late. I'll check jafin pull request #11 as soon as possible.

Pull request #11 was merged.

As I said in other post, maybe ShortName will be changed from string to char? soon.
