Im sorry but I don't know much about compiling I installed via ppa and am not sure where to start when it comes to the source code. If you are willing to update the ppa I will be glad to rerun and see what errors occur after the latest error messages have been added

Is there a ppa set up to use the latest master? I would be willing to upgrade to the latest regularly and help with error reporting, but like the commenter above, I do not know how to do this manually (though I could learn if pointed in the right direction to get started).
