Linux Mint, with Wine... okay.. I'm not sure I can support that, I don't have the hardware resources to run multiple OS systems.
What does work? Is this the only part that doesn't work?

It allows me to cut out the screen, i.e., select the image, but it fails to open the main window interface to edit or copy the image to the clipboard with Ctrl+Shift+C.

I recently bought new gear, which makes it possible to have a look at this.
I already found an issue with the editor, which I was able to solve.
I will try some of the features and try to make them work for Greenshot 1.3
Some functionality will be degraded though...

I have added some small modifications to 1.3 to better support this scenario, the overal experience with Greenshot via WINE is not very good though.
