Generated Graph Panel doesn't fetch data about grafonnet-lib

I am seeing the same issue with an Influx DB dashboard I am generating via grafonnet. When I import the dashboard and toggle template variables, no data is populated in any of my panels.

However, if I change the time frame using the time picker, it updates. I should note that grafana does not honour the time range set in the dashboard JSON when imported either.

For me refreshing the time frame didn't help either.
