It should be possible to build GPUSPH even without a GPU, as long as you can install the CUDA SDK. The build process will try to detect the compute capability of the GPU. If there is not CUDA GPU available, it will default to the old compute capability 1.2. This can be overridden by running make compute=xx where xx is the required compute capability, without the dot (e.g. compute=20 for CC 2.0).

Of course, without a CUDA GPU it will not be possible to run it, but building should work. If you have any issues with the build process, please do report them.
