According to the docs, it takes a string or latlng object.

Yeah but there is no way to make new LatLng objects using the component. I think I'll try forking and adding getLatlng({lat,lng)) for now. I tried including googleapis directly in my component but it was throwing errors trying to include places and its undocumented which to those outside google means "don't use" right? That also prevents me from just making my own lat-lng element for now. I'll work on it and send you what I have.

Using the google-map element doe expose google.maps.LatLng on window. google-maps-api has an .api property, but that element is not exposed and internal to google-map / directions.

Yeah, I'll probably use x = window.google.maps.LatLng on ai-load but I did make an example latlng element here for fun: https://github.com/ryanisinallofus/google-map

I added an example in demo.html. If you think its useful I'll keep finish it out.
