@stapelberg @joewilliams @methril @cdibona I had a similar problem, I found no better implementation of libnftnl, hope you guys can help me, warm greetings and best wishes for happiness and good luck.

Hi,
there are two simple changes needed in order for your code to work:
- Add
DestRegister
toByteOrder
expression - Make a change in
set.go
that specifies thatTypeTimeHour
is 4 bytes
I have also added small changes for the metaTime
function since it did not work properly for me.
The mistake in set.go
has a corresponding PR #203.
Here is code that works:
func metaTime(timeStr string) []byte {
// 1970-01-01
timeS := "1970-01-01 " + timeStr
loc, _ := time.LoadLocation("Asia/Shanghai")
metaTime, err := time.ParseInLocation("2006-01-02 15:04:05", timeS, loc)
if err != nil {
return []byte{}
}
timestamp := metaTime.Unix()
bytesBuffer := bytes.NewBuffer([]byte{})
// LittleEndian -> BigEndian
_ = binary.Write(bytesBuffer, binary.BigEndian, timestamp)
byte := bytesBuffer.Bytes()
// The other four bytes must be used
return byte[4:8]
}
func main() {
c, _ := nftables.New()
filter := c.AddTable(&nftables.Table{
Family: nftables.TableFamilyIPv4,
Name: "filter",
})
filterChain := c.AddChain(&nftables.Chain{
Name: "FORWARD",
Table: filter,
Type: nftables.ChainTypeFilter,
Hooknum: nftables.ChainHookForward,
Priority: nftables.ChainPriorityFilter,
})
ifSet := &nftables.Set{
Table: filter,
Anonymous: true,
Constant: true,
Interval: true,
KeyType: nftables.TypeTimeHour,
}
var setEle []nftables.SetElement
timeRangeArr := []string{"16:00:00-18:00:00", "20:00:00-22:00:00"}
for _, timeStr := range timeRangeArr {
timeArr := strings.Split(timeStr, "-")
startTime := metaTime(timeArr[0])
endTime := metaTime(timeArr[1])
setEle = append(setEle, nftables.SetElement{Key: startTime, KeyEnd: endTime})
}
if err := c.AddSet(ifSet, setEle); err != nil {
fmt.Println("error", err)
}
exprLocal := []expr.Any{
// [ meta load hour => reg 1 ]
&expr.Meta{Key: NFT_META_TIME_HOUR, Register: 1},
}
// [ byteorder reg 1 = hton(reg 1, 4, 4) ]
exprLocal = append(exprLocal, &expr.Byteorder{
SourceRegister: 1,
// DestRegister must be set to same value
DestRegister: 1,
Op: expr.ByteorderHton,
Len: 4,
Size: 4,
})
// [ lookup reg 1 set __set%d ]
exprLocal = append(exprLocal, &expr.Lookup{
SourceRegister: 1,
SetID: ifSet.ID,
})
// [ immediate reg 0 accept ]
exprLocal = append(exprLocal, &expr.Verdict{
Kind: expr.VerdictAccept,
})
c.AddRule(&nftables.Rule{
Table: filter,
Chain: filterChain,
Exprs: exprLocal,
})
if err := c.Flush(); err != nil {
fmt.Println(err.Error())
}
}
I hope that this resolves your issue.
