Sorry for the late reply and thanks for reporting.
This error is probably caused by dependency clashes with the new version of Bioconductor packages.
It will take me some time to fix those issues and make sure that everything else works as intended.
Meanwhile, a temporary solution would be to downgrade to R 3.4 and the previous releases of Bioconductor (3.5-3.6).
Please let me know if it works.

I've faced the same issue (below), thus I'd like to know if there are any updates regarding this issue, since it's been almost 3 years, please?
