Actually I've just realized that I get this error on startup:

[GitLens] git rev-parse --show-toplevel c:/Development/gitrepos/Avans-AKVstJoostMasters Error: spawn git ENOENT

Presumably Gitlens assumes git will be available in the PATH? But with Git for Windows, that's not the case. Is this extension not tested on Windows?

I just noticed that this is in the Requirements section of the extension's description.

I suggest that you check for git in the path on startup, and give a more user-friendly error message if Git isn't found in PATH (on Windows, it generally won't be) perhaps with a link to a tutorial on putting it in the PATH.
