@AnjaliIyengar1 It should be donc in TFS. I don't know how you end up here but it seems that you don't use the tool git-tfs (or I really didn't understand your message).

I was able to reproduce the problem. I tried explicitly loading the assembly that the error was related to, but it didn't work.

I'll assume this relies on hooks in VS, so it needs VS to be running as the shell for the TFS commands. This seems reasonable, based on your observation that the same problem occurs when you use the TFS command line client.

I added checkin policy overrides (1a50042) so you can get around the issue, if it's appropriate to do so.

I want to enforce code style and standards for the branch that is committed to master in git-TFS 2015 from VS-2017. Can anyone help me how to set the check-in policy in git-tfs 2015? @JeremySkinner you have said "When using git-tfs checkin or git-tfs checkintool against a TFS server that has code analysis enforced through a check-in policy," how did you do that?

@pmiossec(I am a beginner and started my career in ALM) I am using GIT with TFS-2015. I have used branch policies(reviewers mandatory etc) to protect the source control. but, i want to add coding style analysis while check-in. I found ".editorConfig" answer from stackoverflow. But, that does not fail the build even when it throws error. That feature is not implemented yet!

It's what I understand but here is not the support forum of git in TFS. It's the forum of the tool 'git-tfs'. No one could help you here.
