This issue has been fixed in master, i'll update this ticket when we release a new version from master.

quick update, we are a few days away (doing the last bit of testing) with a major new release, which fixes these (and many other) issues. it also adds support for threads, commands and offline storage.

Just tried 1.9.1, the list is not blinking anymore 👍
It's also scrolling to the bottom when sending new message which is great.
One issue still remains tho: the messages list is scrolling up 1-2 messages every time you open/close keyboard (mentioned here, but it got closed: #27)
