You can run also 100 gridseed (less or more) with a single Raspberry but you have to have some very good USB powered Hub and a good power supply for you Raspberry.

For example you need a Power supply 5v with at least 1.5A (better 2A) to power the rPI, then you need a very good USB Hub like this below for 7 gridseeds (more in cascade if you need to connect more GS)

Or you can buy Hub with more ports of course but don't buy cheap Hubs! Cheap Hubs aren't good for mining because they don't have the power you need.

For Ubuntu installation, you need to overwrite the minerd binary with that for Ubuntu, please refer to the README.
