Could you perhaps use a null byte or something? Might be even easier to prevent potential collisions

Nice find! I used unicode.ReplacementChar as a way to guarantee it wouldn't accidentally be caught by another rule, but this is an interesting implication. I will just replace it with *, I think that should be fine.
