The conditioned GMFs calculator was meant to work correctly only for number_of_ground_motion_fields=1
. Extending it to more simulations require some work to improve its performance, which I am doing as part of this issue. In particular the computation of mean and covs can be done only once on the master node and then the computed values can be read from the datastore. This is presumably faster, but not obvious at all, in particular when there are many cores like on oq1.
