Last I looked, that information was not exposed by an accessible API. That may have changed, so I'll look into it again. That has always been something I've wanted to add into CipherFox.

Thank you very much gavinhungry, also if possible please let it show the version number (i.e., TLS 1.2/1.1/1.0) regardless the lake of TLS1.1/1.2 support in current Firefox versions.

This information may be exposed soon (only in Firefox 25 and up). If and when it is, it will be added to CipherFox. See issue #3 for more information.

The protocol will be exposed in 3.7.0, but only the name (SSL or TLS). The version is not yet exposed by Firefox (even in 25, unless something changed last-minute).

Was this added for 3.7.0? I'm running 3.7.1 and don't see SSL or TLS.

Is there a bug in Bugzilla requesting exposure of the TLS version?
