In what context are you proposing to use dist?

Googled "javascript src dist" and to me it seems that here dist aims primarily to distribution, which of course can be your destination in a build script. While "bootstrap dist" also seems to point towards "compiling the CSS and JavaScript into /dist"; which IMO is kind of the same thing.

When I look at "python src dst" in Google it seems that dst typically points to destination and that is also what I have in mind reading dst somewhere (that is: an abstract destination), while dist feels like distribution (which is a specific destination).

I also see -dist postfix being used to reflect distribution (which IMO can be combined with -src-dist to mean a source distribution ... but now I'm diverting :-)

Somehow I feel that @topless has a particular context in mind... could you please clarify?

As for the dst and dist discussion, I would rather change it to dev maybe and also I'm tempted to change the font to fnt cause it's the only one that has more than 3 chars in that directory :)

If we are just talking about main/static/ then I think dist for distribution makes sense; and font will no longer feel lonely or special being 4 chars.

(originally I was afraid we would see a major find-and-replace action over all code to eradicate, or at least tie up and beat into submission, every occurrence of poor dst ... but perhaps it would find joy in the process :-)

I think I'll close this one since it's not really affecting anything and I don't want to break yet another thing.. plus the fact that the dist in Grunt it's usually for the final product which in our case is the min :) Dunno..

I'm afraid I'm going to close this one without doing much at this point.. the usual dist and our dst are a bit different and maybe in the future if it's going to be all Grunt based.. then we'll rethink about that one!
